Glass as a place of tension – between holding and letting go.

Born by Dutch waters, Ans Bakker has worked with glass since 2003 to explore what it means to seek safety — within form, within memory.

Her objects arise where control surrenders to erosion. They echo the soft architecture of a shelter, shaped not by walls but by care.

Each piece is a quiet act of preservation — of dignity, of silence, of the right to remain whole.
